Shopping & Buying
Q: How does buying on REWA work?
A: You can either purchase items directly from REWA's own collection or buy from individual sellers in our peer-to-peer marketplace. All transactions are processed securely through Rewa using Stripe (US/UK/EU) or Paystack (Africa). Your payment is held securely until the transaction is complete.
Q: What if the dress doesn't fit?
A: We provide detailed size charts and measurements for every item. Please check these carefully before renting. We cannot guarantee fit, so we recommend ordering a size up if you are between sizes.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Due to the nature of pre-loved and custom clothing, all sales are final on purchased items. We thoroughly inspect and photograph all items (both ours and sellers') to ensure you know exactly what you're getting. If an item arrives significantly not as described, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
Q: What happens if a seller doesn't ship my peer-to-peer order?
A: We have systems in place to monitor seller activity. If a seller fails to ship within the required timeframe, the order will be automatically canceled and you will receive a full and immediate refund.
Q: What if my peer-to-peer order gets lost in the mail?
A: We require all sellers to use a tracked shipping service. If the tracking shows the package is lost, you will receive a full refund. The seller is responsible for filing a claim with the shipping carrier.
Selling & Consigning
Q: What's the difference between selling peer-to-peer and selling to REWA (Consignment)?

Sell Peer-to-Peer: You set the price, manage the listing, and ship directly to the buyer. You keep the sale price minus commission. You have more control and potential profit.

Sell to REWA: We make you an offer. You get a 20% deposit upfront and the remaining 80% when it sells. We handle all photography, marketing, and customer service. It's fast, easy, and hassle-free. By application only.
Q: How long does it take to get paid?

Peer-to-Peer: Payouts are released to you within 24 hours of the buyer confirming receipt.

Selling to REWA: Your 20% deposit is sent after we inspect your dress. The remaining 80% is sent within 24 hours of the sale.
Q: What if my peer-to-peer item doesn't sell?
A: You can relist it, lower the price, or choose to donate it. For items sold to REWA on consignment, we can ship it back to you (you cover shipping) or you can choose to donate it.
Rentals
Q: How does rental work?
A: Choose your dress, select your rental dates (typically a 3-5 day window), and checkout. We ship it to you cleaned and ready to wear. After your event, return it in good condition and receive your deposit.
Q: Who is responsible for cleaning a rental dress?
A: The dress owner (lender) is responsible for ensuring the dress is professionally cleaned before and after each rental. The cost of this should be factored into their rental price.
Q: What is the rental deposit for?
A: A standard 20% security deposit is held to cover potential damage or late returns. It is fully refunded within 48 hours of the dress being returned in good condition. If the rental is significantly damaged or stained, the lender will keep the deposit for repairs.
Q: What if the dress doesn't fit?
A: We provide detailed size charts and measurements for every item. Please check these carefully before renting. We cannot guarantee fit, so we recommend ordering a size up if you are between sizes.
Q: Can rentals be sold?
A: Yes! Please feel free to add your sale price to your rental listing. Interested parties can message lenders to buy pieces in full.
Q: What if a rental is returned late?
A: We have a strict late fee policy to ensure fairness for the next renter. A late fee will be charged to the payment method on file until the item is returned.
Q: What if a rental is not returned at all?
A: After 7 days past the due date with no communication, the rental will be considered "not returned." The renter will be charged the full replacement cost (retail value) of the garment, and their account will be deactivated.
Shipping & Delivery
Q: How does shipping work?
A: Rewa connects buyers and sellers directly. After agreeing on a price, you will arrange and pay for shipping between yourselves. We recommend discussing and confirming the shipping method, cost, and tracking details before completing any payment.
Q: What if a rental is returned late?
A: We have a strict late fee policy to ensure fairness for the next renter. A late fee will be charged to the payment method on file until the item is returned.
Q: Can I get a shipping cost estimate before messaging a seller?
A: Yes! Sellers can add estimated shipping costs to major regions (e.g., "US: $40-60", "UK: £30-50", "Within Lagos: Pickup Available") in their listing. Check the listing details, and always confirm the final cost with the seller.
